Puppy update!

WooHoo!! Its football season! We have been traveling to Preston's football games and keeping very busy with Daenerys.  She may not be a bulldog but shes a little furry lovebug.  Shes got on her bulldog gear but its very tiring traveling to games when your only 20 weeks old.

Here she is watching Preston on the football field!
Her cuteness is on overload! I can't get enough!

She got to meet up with her brother "Bear" how fitting! Lol! Shes the smaller of the two, this pic makes her look so big but shes only 3 pounds and so tiny.

She likes to visit Kaity and bake cookies, play and nap!

But shes got a big PAW-TY coming up! Her puppy shower is in the planning, October 10th! Woohoo time to paw-ty! Pics to follow.

Teenagers!

Teenagers! Oh they are so much fun, said no parent ever!  They are trying on your nerves, your patience and your emotions, and let us not forget your pocketbook! But the love and affection we receive from them is unmeasureable! These two kids we have been blessed with raising are our joy! We know we will never be Mom or Dad and that we have another title, parent none the less. Its been fun watching them grow into little adults and to be able to guide them to make good choices.  We love these buggers!!!

Preston (P-Man) age 14 this was the last day of 7th grade the kids dared him to dress like Thomas from Smoke Signals. Hes a good looking kid...watch out girls!

Jetara (Jet) age 15 this was a wedding we went to in Chico on July 5th, 2014. Isn't she just the cutest thing! The boys are going to be chasing her!

Watch for updates on us and our crazy kids and lil furry puppy!

A new addition to the family! A Furry Addition!

Well our lives have been pretty busy so far this summer. Ernie was working very hard and campaigning, I was working very hard running the election, the kids were signed up for gear up, upward bound, camps, and just generally being kids in the summer. But in our lives we also made a very life changing decision.  We decided to add a dog! I admit I have always been the kind of person who adopts older dogs, but most of the time your adopting their problems too.  So I thought I am going to get a puppy! WOOHOO a puppy! OMG a puppy...what kind, who from, what do I  need, do they stay up all night, do they need constant attention all of these thoughts and more were going through my head.  But also the need to mother and nuture a puppy was something I felt I needed to do, those little innocent eyes those little wet noses...how can you resist?  Plus I needed to get a dog to be trained as my service animal.  I was informed of a litter of puppies that were delivered on May 6, 2014.  The day my baby was born! When I found out how cute and small and loving these little dogs were I jumped at the chance to get one.  I decided on a Yorkshire Terrier for my dog.  So without futher ado...here she is....

Family Time

Sister Love!!!
We had some sister love going on!  It was great to see my big sister and her girls, I don't get to see her often enough and the miles are so far between us!  I wish it could have been under better circumstances but funerals definitely bring people together.  We will miss Auntie Laura, she was my godmother, the peacemaker, the level headed one on that side of the family.  But even in death she brought people together to celebrate her life.  Seeing my big sis was great.  We got to see my Dad too, which is always good, he's the oldest of 10 kids, 69 years old now, we need to cherish every moment we have been given.

A good number of family members came in, I come from a loud wild family, I never saw myself as sedate but in this bunch i seem to be!  There was so many people being so loud I was feeling like I needed air! Good thing I left my hearing aid at home else I would have been audibly assaulted. LOL! It was great seeing everyone, lets make it for fun next time! I think maybe its time for a family reunion like gram and her siblings used to put on! What do you say?
